Loctite 243 is a blue oil-resistant general-purpose medium-strength threadlocker widely used in the industrial field to prevent threaded fasteners from loosening due to vibration, impact or oil pollution.

Features

1. Oil resistance and versatility
Applicable to all metal substrates, including inert materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and electroplated surfaces. It can withstand slight contamination from industrial oils (such as engine oil, anti-rust oil, and cutting fluid) and can still maintain stable bonding on oily surfaces. Applicable to bolts, nuts, and studs with specifications of M6-M20, covering most industrial fastening needs.

2. Medium strength and removability
Provides medium-strength locking force and can be normally disassembled by hand tools (such as wrenches), balancing the fixing strength and maintenance convenience. When disassembling, the process can be simplified by heating to 200-300℃ or using a special remover.

3. Temperature resistance and anti-aging
The operating temperature range is -55℃ to +180℃, and the short-term temperature resistance can reach 220℃ in some scenarios, which can adapt to extreme environments. It has excellent anti-heat aging performance and can maintain the locking effect after long-term use.

 1. Vibration-sensitive equipment: used for assembly bolts of pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors and other equipment to prevent loosening caused by long-term vibration. Like: Locking of bolts connecting blades and hubs in wind farms to ensure torque stability and resist corrosion.
2. Oily environment: suitable for parts that are easily exposed to oil, such as engines and hydraulic systems, to maintain thread sealing.
