MAAL-011078-TR1000 is a MACOM single-stage GaAs MMIC low noise amplifier covering 700 MHz to 6 GHz. As the first stage of a receiver chain it delivers 0.35 dB noise figure at 1.9 GHz (0.50 dB at 2.6 GHz), 23 dB gain at 1.9 GHz (22 dB at 2.6 GHz, 15 dB at 6 GHz), 33 dBm OIP3 and 17.5 dBm output P1dB. An integrated active bias circuit connects directly to a 3 V or 5 V supply, so no external bias regulator is needed; bias current is set by one external resistor from 30 to 80 mA (typ. 50 mA) and VBIAS doubles as an enable pin. A simple external matching network optimizes return loss over any narrow band. The device comes in a lead-free, halogen-free 2 mm 8-lead PDFN package, RoHS3 compliant and +260 degC reflow compatible (MSL 1). The -TR1000 suffix is a 1000-piece tape and reel, ready for high-volume SMT assembly. Typical applications are 4G/5G cellular infrastructure and Wi-Fi / WLAN front ends.
