New Original ADS122U04IPW ADS122U04IPWR marking ADS122U Analog to Digital Converters IC – ADC 24-Bit, 2kSPS, 4-Ch
1. Product Overview
ADS122U04IPWR is a 24-bit high-precision Δ-Σ analog-to-digital converter (ADC) launched by TI, designed for industrial control, sensor interface and low-power portable devices. Its highly integrated design (including programmable gain amplifier, internal reference voltage source, excitation current source, etc.) can significantly simplify the system architecture and reduce power consumption and cost.
2. Core parameters
—Resolution: 24 bits, effective resolution up to 20 bits
—Sampling rate: up to 2 kSPS (2000 samples per second), supports single-cycle settling time
—Input channels: 2 differential or 4 single-ended inputs, flexibly configured through multiplexers (MUX)
—Interface: UART (8-N-1 format), supports up to 120 kBaud baud rate and automatic baud rate detection
—Power consumption: typical value 1.4 mW (315 µA current), wide power supply range 2.3 V~5.5 V (analog/digital)
—Gain amplifier (PGA): programmable gain 1~128 times, suitable for small signal sensors (such as RTD, thermocouples)
—Excitation current source (IDAC): dual-channel matching, 10 µA~1.5 mA adjustable, supports sensor excitation
—Internal reference voltage: 2.048 V, temperature drift is only 5 ppm/°C
—Temperature sensor: built-in accuracy of ±0.5°C, for system monitoring or cold-end compensation
—Anti-interference ability: synchronously suppress 50/60 Hz power frequency interference at 20 SPS sampling rate
—Package: 16-pin TSSOP (3.0 mm × 3.0 mm × 0.75 mm), RoHS-compliant, MSL level 3 (moisture resistant)
3. Main functional highlights (For more features and application scenarios, please check our blog post)
—Highly integrated: built-in PGA, VREF, IDAC and temperature sensor to reduce the number of external components.
—Low power design: 2.3 V~5.5 V wide power supply, suitable for battery-powered devices.
—Anti-power frequency interference: digital filter synchronously filters out 50/60 Hz noise at 20 SPS to improve stability in industrial scenarios.
—Flexible configuration: supports UART interface for easy communication with MCU; provides GPIO pins for enhanced scalability.
4. Typical application scenarios
—Industrial sensor interface: high-precision measurement of pressure sensors, temperature sensors (RTD, thermocouples).
—Portable devices: handheld instruments, IoT nodes (relying on low power consumption and integrated design).
—Process control: real-time acquisition of multi-channel signals (such as resistance bridge sensors or thermistors).
